Cabral's Army
Posted August 8, 2008
CU linebackers Brian Cabral coach suddenly has a slew of linebackers this season after working with significantly fewer bodies last season. You could call the group Cabral's Army, but not because of the numbers.
Cabral nicknamed junior college transfer Shaun Mohler Colonel recently because he realized he had a Sargeant in freshman walk-on Guy Sergent and a major in freshman Jon Major. He decided he needed a Colonel.
Mohler, whose new teammates and coaches also call "Mauler" received the honor for this reason: "The colonel is a JC guy," Cabral said. "He's a little bit older, a little more experienced and Mohler is a mauler."
I asked Cabral who would be the general? Maybe him?
"I'm not making that claim," he said.
So I went to coach Dan Hawkins and asked him who the general should be.
"He's the general," Hawkins said. "General Cabral."

Cabral and his Army of train stopping linebackers. I like it.
The competition better bring their biggest baddest running back, cause these guys are going to stop people in their tracks.
