Looks like Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith is finally conquering his back problems and is starting to really contribute once again.
Smith played almost as much last week against Texas as he had all season. Prior to facing the Longhorns, Smith had played 49 snaps this year with one tackle to his credit.
He played 45 snaps in the loss to Texas and finished the game with six solo tackles and a forced fumble. It would be a big boost for the CU defense to have Smith contributing on a regular basis.
