Regional roundup: CU spikers wrap up home season tonight
The Colorado women's volleyball team will play its final home match of the season tonight at 6:30 at the Coors Events Center.
The matchup with Texas A&M will feature senior night. Seniors Therese Viñal and Kristen Karlik will be honored before and after the match. In addition, a Thanksgiving food drive will be held tonight, with fans who bring a canned food item receiving free admission to the match.

The Buffs (6-20 overall, 1-17 in the Big 12), will close out the season Saturday at noon at Missouri.
CU women's golf
team signs two
CU women's golf coach Anne Kelly has signed Emily Childs of Alameda, Calif., and Emily Talley of Napa, Calif., to national letters of intent.
Both from Northern California, Childs and Talley are not only members of the Junior Golf Association of Northern California, but they are also close friends.
Childs led Alameda High to a victory in the North Coast Section Championship.
Talley finished 15th individually at the California State Championships and her team took second.
Barringer nominated
for Honda Award
CU junior Jenny Barringer, who finished second Monday in the NCAA cross country championships, has been named a 2007-08 Cross Country Honda Sports Award nominee for the second year in a row.
The winner will be decided by nationwide voting among NCAA member schools.
Other nominees for the award include NCAA champion Sally Kipyego of Texas Tech.
Fazekas assigned
to D-League
The Dallas Mavericks announced they've assigned Arvadan Nick Fazekas to the Tulsa 66ers, their NBA Development League Affiliate.
Fazekas, the Mavericks' second-round selection in the 2007 NBA draft (34th overall), saw action in two regular-season games with the Mavericks this season.
Rapids announce
protected list
The Rapids announced their list of 11 protected players for the MLS Expansion Draft, which takes place today.
With the San Jose Earthquakes, the newest expansion club, entering the league for next season, each team in MLS must make a certain amount of their players available for the draft.
San Jose may not claim more than one player from any given team in MLS, and will select 10 players, meaning that three teams will not have a player taken in the expansion draft.
Rapids protected players
Goalkeeper: Bouna Coundoul.
Defenders: Ugo Ihemelu, Facundo Erpen.
Midfielders: Terry Cooke, Pablo Mastroeni, Colin Clark, Mehdi Ballouchy, Kosuke Kimura.
Forwards: Jacob Peterson, Herculez Gomez, Omar Cummings.
In addition to this list, Rapids midfielder Nico Colaluca is automatically protected by the Rapids due to his Generation adidas status.
Also, Rapids forward Daniel Osorno has announced his retirement, and will not be made available for the draft.
