CU tennis team edged by Texas A&M

The Colorado tennis team lost its sixth match of the season by one point, falling 4-3 to Texas A&M on Sunday at the Millennium Harvest House.

Colorado dropped to 7-10 overall and 4-3 in Big 12 play, while Texas A&M improved to 12-6, 6-1.

Camila Belassi, Veera Nurmi and Franziska Jendrian each won their singles matches for CU.

Nurmi recorded her 69th career singles match victory moving into a tie for 15th place on the school's all-time wins list. Nurmi also won her 24th Big 12 match, moving into a tied for second place at CU.

Doubles -- 1. Milewski/Belassi (CU) def. Blagodarova/Clifford 8-3; 2. Liles/Potgieter (A&M) def. Esposito/Jendrian 8-3; 3. Frank/Stephanie Davidson (A&M) def. Torres Torres/Abbie Probert 9-7.
