LINCOLN, Neb. -- Colorado tennis coach Nicole Kenneally picked up her 100th career win Sunday as her Buffaloes defeated Nebraska, 4-3.

The victory was CU's second in three days as well and their second straight over the Huskers. CU improved to 9-10 overall and 6-3 in the Big 12 while the Huskers, losers of four of their last five, fell to 15-5 and 4-5.

The doubles point proved to be the key for CU after the Buffs found themselves trailing 3-1 midway the singles competition. The doubles point was secured with Melisa Esposito and Franziska Jendrian winning at No. 2 and Abbie Probert and Gleisy Torres Torres at No. 3 slots.

After NU won the top three singles positions, the Buffs received singles wins from Jengrian, Esposito an Veera Nurmi, who rallied from a one-set deficit for a three-set win over Stephanie Evants. The victory was Nurmi's seventh conference win this season and her 71st career victory, moving her into a tie for 13th place on CU's all-time list.

CU will close out the regular season next weekend with The Buffs cut its margin in half when Jendrian won her team-high 20th singles victory defeating Maria Ring, 6-4, 7-5 at the No. 6 slot. Jendrian also won her third straight and fifth of her last seven matches. It was also her seventh conference victory in nine outings.

At No. 5, Esposito rallied from a set down storming back to defeat Amber Chandronnait, 1-6, 6-4, 6-1. The sophomore from Palm Beach Garden, Fla., won her second straight match in three days after dropping her previous three conference matches.
