For adults, there's a junk food-fueled pre-game party, and the first 1,000 attendees get a free hot dog, soda, chips and cookie.
The University of Colorado has several activities planned for fans at today's game.
Potential CU students from several schools in Denver plan to participate in the day's events. Attending will be pre-college students from Wyatt-Edison Charter School, Bruce Randolph Middle School, West High School and Lincoln High School. CU student ambassadors will greet the students when they arrive at the University Memorial Center, at Broadway and Euclid Avenue, to take them to Folsom Field.
"We want our pre-college students and their families to know that it's never too early to begin thinking about attending college," said Sallye McKee, vice chancellor for diversity, equity and community engagement.
Here is a schedule of today's events:
10:30 a.m. to noon --Children in eighth grade and younger will have a chance to meet CU student-athletes and participate in sports-skills stations on Folsom Field. The first 500 kids to complete all required stations will receive a CU T-shirt and free food.
11 a.m. -- Autograph session
11:30 a.m. -- Pre-game party hosted by the CU chancellor, athletic department and Alumni Association in the Balch Fieldhouse.
1 p.m. -- Kick-off for the Buffs' intrasquad scrimmage. Ralphie V will run for the first time. Ralphie IV retired last year after leading the CU football team onto the field for 10 seasons.
