CU's Jendrian earns tennis honor
Colorado junior Franziska Jendrian was named the Big 12 women's tennis Player of the Week on Monday for her efforts over the weekend.
She won matches at Oklahoma and Oklahoma State helping guide the Buffs to their first road series sweep over both Oklahoma schools in Colorado history. Jendrian defeated OU's Tara Eckel, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 6 singles, then earned a three-set victory against OSU's Jessica Collins.
This is the first player of the week accolade in Jendrian's career.
