Hearing in ex-Buff Bernard Jackson's robbery case postponed

A former University of Colorado starting quarterback, who is being held on charges of armed robbery, had his preliminary hearing in the case postponed this morning. The hearing now is scheduled for Sept. 16. .

Bernard Jackson, 23, appeared in court in jail togs today and said "I do" when asked by the judge if he wanted to delay his preliminary hearing for another month.

Jackson is being held at the Boulder County Jail on $250,000 bond for his alleged role in a June 5 armed robbery, in which police say he and former fellow Buffs player Lionel Harris broke into a University Hill home, confronted the residents with handguns and left with less than $500.

Harris, also in jail on $250,000 bond, was scheduled for a similar hearing this afternoon, but it was continued. It's not clear when his hearing will take place.

Both men face multiple felony counts, including first-degree burglary, aggravated robbery, and menacing.

All our posters have deserted. Typical. They back guys who assault innocent victims (you didn't see anyone else being arrested or pleading guilty)but desert guys before trial based solely on press summaries of the police reports. Our posters are willing to assume guilt based on the police reports. The same police reports they claimed were biased in the cases of Geer, Katoa and Sipili.
Aren't these guys at least entitled to the benefit of the doubt? And if they are guilty maybe there were mitigating circumstances. The worst deserve equal treatment the most. But what do we get from our loyal posters? no comment, nothing, nada. Throw them under the bus. Especially since they can't play football anymore.
