Colorado's Torres Torres honored by ITA

Former University of Colorado tennis player Gleisy Torres Torres was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete for the second year in a row on Wednesday.

The honor came on the same day that coach Nicole Kenneally and the 2007-08 Buffs earned ITA recognition.

Torres Torres, a May graduate, earned the ITA honor by being a varsity letterwinner and having a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the school year.

As a team, the Buffs were one of 102 squads to earn ITA recognition with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
