Buffs' Marshall named to U.S. U-20 soccer team
Colorado soccer standout Nikki Marshall was named on Thursday to the U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team that will begin competition on Wednesday in CONCACAF qualifying for the U-20 World Cup.

Team USA, which just wrapped up altitude training in Park City, Utah, opens with a game against Trinidad and Tobago in Puebla, Mexico, before facing Cuba on June 20 and Mexico on June 22. Semifinals will be held June 25, with the championship match on June 28.
The top three finishers in the qualifying tournament will earn berths to the U-20 Women's World Cup being held Nov. 19-Dec. 7 in Chile.
Buffs ink five
Colorado coach Bill Hempen announced on Thursday five more recruits who will join the Buffs in the fall.
CU signed its original group of incoming freshmen, which included Silver Creek High's Kate Russell, earlier this year.
He added four more incoming freshmen and one transfer.
Kelly Menachof, who went to Arapahoe High, will transfer to CU after two years at the University of California.
Caroline Dannebrog (Englewood), Heidy Mayer (Fort Collins), Elizabeth Musgrave (Birmingham, Ala.) and Maggi Steury (Carmel, Ind.) will also join the squad.
