Air Force athletic director Hans Mueh said Wednesday that details of the contract are still being worked out.
Reynolds was promoted from assistant coach to the top job in April 2007 after his predecessor, Jeff Bzdelik, accepted a job at Colorado.
The Falcons were 16-14 in Reynolds' first season.
