Buffs notch fourth straight sweep

The Colorado tennis team recorded its fourth consecutive sweep for the first time in school history Sunday, blanking Kansas State 7-0 at the Millennium Harvest House.

Colorado improved to 6-6 overall and 3-0 in the Big 12, while Kansas State fell to 5-6, 1-2.

The Buffaloes defeated No. 55 Kansas on Friday, Yale on March 11, and Missouri on March 8, all by 7-0 decisions.

CU's Veera Nurmi landed her 67th career singles victory with her 6-0, 6-1 match over KSU's Cottin at the No. 4 spot for her sixth straight win; and Gleisy Torres Torres recorded her 68th career singles victory with her 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 triumph over Katka Kudlackova. Torres Torres won her fifth straight.

The Buffs next play at Louisiana State on March 26, followed by matches at Baylor (March 28) and Texas Tech (March 30).
