The Cornhuskers beat the Buffs 25-19, 25-15, 26-24.
Colorado was down 24-21 in the third set and came back to tie it at 24 before falling.
The Buffs dropped to 8-6 overall and 2-3 in the Big 12. The Huskers remained undefeated at 14-0, 6-0 Big 12.
"I thought we did a nice job battling, ... which is something that we haven't done well in Big 12 matches this season," CU coach Pi'i Aiu said. "This is our best road match, as far as how hard we battled, but we aren't quite where we need to be. I think we are getting there. We need to be patient; hopefully we will get there by midseason. We are doing nice things now but we are still making the same mistakes."
Junior outside hitter Emilee Sisco led the Buffs for the second straight match with nine kills. Senior Alex Buth added seven. Senior Lauren Schaefer hit a team-high .308 with four kills on 13 errorless attacks. Senior Callie Webster picked up eight digs to lead CU.
The Buffs head home for a pair of contests next week to entertain Texas Tech on Wednesday and No. 3 Texas on Saturday. CU will host Coats For Colorado at the Texas match. Fans who donate a new or gently used coat will receive $1 admission.
