over 'dirty' charge
Nebraska was still on the defensive Tuesday over Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel's allegation that the Cornhuskers are the dirtiest team he's ever played against.
"It hurts," NU coach Bo Pelini said. "That's not the kind of program I run and I'm going to run. I think the allegations are unfortunate."
Daniel said a Nebraska player spit on him before Saturday's 52-17 Missouri win. He also hinted that the Huskers took cheap shots at him but wasn't specific.

Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh was reprimanded by the Pac-10 for criticizing the conference's officials following last weekend's loss at Notre Dame.
Florida receiver Percy Harvin missed his second consecutive practice Tuesday, but coach Urban Meyer expects the speedster to play Saturday against No. 4 LSU.
Tennessee offensive linemen Ramone Johnson and Darius Myers have been suspended for the Volunteers' upcoming games against Georgia and Mississippi State. Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer said the two are being punished for lack of academic effort and violation of team rules.
Penn State coach Joe Paterno said Tuesday his sore right leg still hurts enough that he won't decide until week's end on whether he'll coach undefeated Penn State (6-0, 2-0 Big Ten) from the sideline or the pressbox for Saturday night's contest at Wisconsin.
Colgate and Georgetown will not reschedule last Saturday's game, which was postponed because of a viral outbreak on the Georgetown campus.
Virginia Tech wide receiver Ike Whitaker is scheduled to appear in court next month after being charged with public swearing and intoxication, both misdemeanors. Whitaker was suspended indefinitely last week.

As much as I hate to say it, Daniels should not have said anything about NU being dirty without giving names and specifics. If you are not going to say who on the team spit on you then you just look like a whiner for saying "they spit on me". It isn't that I don't believe him, I just think you should either name the dude or leave it. It isn't very classy on his part either at this point.

Pelini says the allegations are unfortunate, doesn't say the actions were unfortunate. I guess he wasn't on the staff when the CU players were rutinely spit on going on and off the field at Lincoln. Go hide some player's guns like Dr. Tom, Bo.
