Photographer

Bio: My first interest in journalism and photography occurred in high school at the Meloneer News (Rocky Ford, CO). I was the Editor and Photographer for the paper and later the yearbook. The photography aspect was what I was most interested in, but I did the writing out of necessity.

I like the variety and adventure of being a photojournalist. I am able to travel, meet people, and be a small part during the significant moments of people's lives. I started out working in psychology, I have degrees in Psych and Journalism from CU. Both fields require that you be observant and a be student of human nature.

What keeps me going after 25 years of this is the fact that on any day, I could make the best image of my life, so I'd better be ready for it.
