Former University of Colorado forward Jorian Baucom agreed to terms with the Houston Dash as a national team replacement player on Thursday.
She joins Danica Evans, Erin Greening and Scout Watson as current CU alumni in the NWSL.
The Scottsdale, Ariz., native, wrapped up her two-year stay at Colorado this past season. She redshirted the 2017 season, recovering offseason surgery. Baucom made up for missed time in 2018. She became just the second Buff to record 30 or more points in a season, totaling 12 goals and six assists. She tied for the second most goals in CU history and finished the year ranked fourth in the Pac-12. Baucom finished the season with 1.5 points per game, ranking third in CU’s single-season history.
Baucom earned second-team All-Pac-12 in 2018 to go along with second-team United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region honors. She was Top Drawer Soccer’s National Player of the Week (Oct. 9), following her three-goal performance in CU’s wins over Washington State and Washington.
Prior to joining Colorado, Baucom spent three seasons at LSU. She was named first-team all-SEC team, NSCAA first-team all-South region, and finished her junior year ranked sixth in the SEC in goals.
Baucom also boasts vast international experience in her time spent at national team camps with the U.S. U-15, U-16, U-19 and U-20 national teams. The forward was a part of the player pools for U-14, U-17 and U-18 teams.
