NOTABLE: CU is seeking its 21st national title, but the Buffs haven’t won since 2015. … Steamboat Springs is hosting nationals for the first time since 2018. Steamboat also hosted in 2016, 2010, 2006 and 1993. … CU finished as runner-up last year to Utah. The Utes have won the last four NCAA titles and have 16 championships overall. … CU is the only school to finish top four in each of the last 16 NCAA Championships. … None of the Buffs’ six alpine skiers competed for CU last year at nationals. All three men are freshmen going to nationals for the first time, but the women are experienced, with a combined six All-American honors. … Luczak won the giant slalom national title for the Buffs two years ago. … Both Dingsleder and Toiviainen have competed at NCAAs for Westminster, with both earning multiple All-American honors. … Boee and Dietze will both be competing at nationals for the fifth time. … Boee is a two-time national champion (2021 classical and freestyle) and six-time All-American. … Dietze was a first-team All-American in the freestyle last year. … Koch is a four-time NCAA qualifier and four-time second-team All-American. … Kaleta is heading to the NCAA championships for the fourth time. She has earned four second-team All-American honors. … Abrahamsson will ski at nationals for the third time. She is a four-time All-American, including three first-team honors. … Although this is Weinberger’s first season as head coach, she has been with the Buffs’ program for 21 years. She spent 11 years as the assistant Nordic coach was named the head Nordic coach before the 2019 season. She was the interim head coach last year. She was also a two-time national champion during her athletic career at CU (2003-06).
