FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Colorado freshman Kole Mathison is heading to the NCAA championships. On Friday at the University of Arkansas, Mathison finished ninth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA West prelims. The top 12 finishers qualified for the NCAA championships, to be held in Eugene, Ore., June 6-9.
